Mountain Echo

Suddenly, the son fell, hurt himself and screamed, “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!” To his surprise, he heard a voice repeating somewhere in the mountain: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”
Curious, he yelled, “Who are you?” He received the answer, “Who are you?”
And then he screamed to the mountain, “I admire you!” The voice answered, “I admire you!”
Angered at the voice kept on repeating what he said, the son screamed, “Coward!” He received the answer, “Coward!”
He looked to his father and asked, “What’s going on?”

Lightning Bolt Becomes Fastest Man On Earth
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt ran a world record 9.72 seconds for the 100 metres in the Reebok grand prix meet at the Icahn Stadium in New York last night. The 21-year-old Bolt lowered the previous best held by compatriot Asafa Powell, who had ran 9.74secs on three separate occasions.

Incredibly, Bolt was running only his fifth 100m race and was competing in the lane next to America’s 100m world champion Tyson Gay on a still night following thunderstorms earlier in the evening. Gay was second in a personal best of 9.85sec with Darvis ‘Doc’ Patton of the USA third in 10.07sec. The historic run sent a huge Jamaican contingent of fans wild with celebrations.
Never Give Up
Mao Asada‘s opening move was heart-stopping – and not in a good way.
As she went to take off for a triple axel, a jump so hard few women even try it, she slipped and slid across the ice.
“I was surprised myself,” Asada said.
But the two-time Japanese champion rebounded with a huge triple flip-triple toe loop combination, righting her long-program fortunes and capturing the gold medal at the World Figure Skating Championships on Thursday. She finished with 185.56 points, winning by almost a point.
