A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, the son fell, hurt himself and screamed, “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!” To his surprise, he heard a voice repeating somewhere in the mountain: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”
Curious, he yelled, “Who are you?” He received the answer, “Who are you?”
And then he screamed to the mountain, “I admire you!” The voice answered, “I admire you!”
Angered at the voice kept on repeating what he said, the son screamed, “Coward!” He received the answer, “Coward!”
He looked to his father and asked, “What’s going on?” Read more... (203 words + 2 images, estimated 49 secs reading time)

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love-
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me. Read more... (311 words + 2 images, estimated 1:15 mins reading time)
“What are you doing with that roll of gold wrapping paper?” screamed the father at his 3 year old daughter. He was tired after putting in extra hours on Christmas eve so he could earn a little extra. Money was tight and even a roll of gold wrapping paper meant money.
“Daddy, I’m wrapping…” the young girl, sitting under the Christmas tree and holding a half decorated box, started to explain.
“I don’t care what you’re doing! You’re wasting those wrapping papers. Go to your bed now!”
“But daddy…”
“Go!” Read more... (232 words + 1 image, estimated 56 secs reading time)

As the music plays
my heart aches
it aches with pain
pain of the past
and pain of the present
As the music plays
my heart aches
it aches with hurt
hurt that I have caused
and hurt that has been caused
As the music plays
my heart aches
it aches with passion
passion that yearns
and passion that wants
As the music plays
my heart aches
it aches with love
love that will never be shared
and love that will never be known
As the music stops
my heart no longer aches
it doesn’t feel anything
the music has stopped
and so has everything else. Read more... (110 words, estimated 26 secs reading time)
There are those who think that love comes with a lifetime guarantee,
But we know from those around us, that this may not always be,
It’s the simple things that come between a father and a son,
But when they try to talk, the knives are out before they have begun;

appreciation for people, places, and things, as well as,
for ideas, qualities, and feelings

thankfulness, and I use it like a key

A key to heal insult and injury
A key to awareness, when I refuse to dream
A key to finding forgiveness and feeling peace

A man planted a rose and watered it faithfully, dreaming of the day it would blossom. Before the rose blossomed, he examined it. He was happy to see the bud that would soon blossom, but then noticed the thorns upon the stem.
“How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns?” he thought.
Saddened by such thought, he felt it futile to water the rose anymore. And just before it was ready to bloom… the rose died. Read more... (266 words + 1 image, estimated 1:04 mins reading time)
