Two Frogs

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods. They were laughing and having fun when suddenly two of them fell into a deep pit.
The pit was so deep that the other frogs started yelling to the two frogs who had fallen, “Oh dear! You’re as good as dead. The pit is so deep there is no way you’re getting out of it.”
The two frogs were frantically trying to jump up out of the pit with all their might that they ignored the comments. But the other frogs kept telling them, “Didn’t you hear us? You’re as good as dead. You just can’t jump out of the pit. You might as well stop trying now.”
Trying and trying to no avail, finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the others were saying and gave up. He fell down and died of desperation.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out.
When he got out, the other frogs said, “Did you not hear us?” But the frog just kept on thanking them. Eventually, they found out that the frog was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time!
